MICROSOFT CERTIFICATION BADGES

The challenge — I partnered with the Northbound Brand team to help create a badge system for Microsoft role-based certifications to show how users are keeping pace with today’s technical roles and requirements through testing and certification. The badges are collected to prove expertise to employers and peers.

The designs needed to build equity and awareness of Microsoft. They had to clearly convey the meaning and value of the certificate, indicate the different levels and had to utilizing product and brand colors. They also had to be easy to share and work in a small footprint. Below is a peek at part of the process, from sketches through exploration and refinements that got us to the final product.
